Tue, 30 May 2006  Damien Hobgood grabs his second win at the Globe WCT Fiji. At the coveted Cloudbreak, Damo defeats rookie Shaun Cansdell in perfect conditions (6-8ft) with a 15.40 over Shaun’s 10.50. Within the first couple of minutes Shaun took off on what appeared to be the wave of the day although as it turned out he was wrong. The second set wave which Damo got on was the wave of the day. Damo pulled into what seemed like an eternity long barrel then got spit out to lock in a 9.17. This left Shaun scrapping for the majority of the heat needing an 8 something to overtake the lead. Cloudbreak went flat giving way to Damien’s second win here at Tavarua.
